We propose a walk along the Varrone Stream starting from the industrial area of Premana (Via Giabbio). Follow the rivercourse, featuring small waterfalls and pools — perfect for cooling off on hot days. After about one kilometer on a gently sloping dirt road, you reach Ristoro Giabi*, where we recommend lunch.

Monday: Family Day 1 ?>

We also suggest the walk connecting Alpe di Paglio (Casargo municipality) with Pian delle Betulle and the Jungle Rider Park adventure park (*).

The walk lasts about 30 minutes along a forest road dotted with wooden sculptures of wild animals from our woods.

Soon after the adventure park, you reach the peaceful and wonderful Pian delle Betulle with its lake and numerous spots for a lunch or snack together.

We suggest a hike by e‑bike or on foot to Alpe Chiarino (Premana municipality), starting from the industrial area and climbing the slope opposite the town.
The hike is of medium difficulty.

After about 1 hour and 30 minutes of walking, passing numerous summer pastures, you reach Rifugio Ariaal* where we recommend eating.

From here, the view over Valvarrone is stunning!

For mountain bike lovers, we also offer e‑MTB rental and certified MTB guide services (*).

We propose a hike by e‑bike or on foot to Alpe Caprecolo in Valfraina (Premana municipality).

At Caprecolo, young mountain herders passionately care for goats and cows during the summer season.

Here you can buy fresh dairy products and watch how they’re made. We recommend a packed lunch.

The hike starts from Via Prealpi in Premana and lasts about 2 hours one way. The difficulty is easy, and the road is wide and unpaved.

For mountain bike lovers, e‑MTB rental and certified MTB guide services are also available (*).

We suggest an e‑bike or walking tour in Upper Valvarrone to the old iron mines. The route starts from the industrial area of Premana and follows the Varrone stream into the valley. After 4 km you reach the summer pastures of Forni, Casarsa, and Vegessa, and continuing the same distance, Rifugio Casera Vecchia di Varrone.

A little further are the abandoned iron mines that historically contributed to Premana’s ironwork economy.

We recommend lunch at Ristoro Peter in Vegessa or at Rifugio Casera Vecchia di Varrone. (*)

We propose a hike by e‑bike or on foot to Alpe Solino above Premana, known as the “Balcony of the Valley” for its breathtaking panorama — from the Upper Valvarrone peaks to Pizzo Tre Signori and the Lakes of Como and Lugano.

The itinerary starts from Premana (Via Martiri di Cefalonia) and is easy. The road is wide and unpaved, with some steeper parts; alternatively, you can take the old woodland mule track.

We recommend lunch at Ristoro Alpe Premaniga (*).

We propose a hike to Alpe Giumello (Casargo municipality).

The alpine pasture can be reached by car, where the Monte Muggio Ring is a medium‑difficulty hike recommended only in summer months.

The route features unparalleled views of the magnificent Lake Como.

For families, we recommend walking only part of the trail, up to the Giant Bench in the municipality of Bellano, with its splendid lakeside view.

At Giumello there are numerous mountain huts and eateries for a mountain lunch.
